Bank and Sarajevo University School of Economics organised an official handover
of the upgraded Library and Information Centre on the School premises today.
Namely, ProCredit Bank financially supported upgrading of the School’s Library,
founded in 1952, but still having a number of books in the field of economy,
finance, management, etc. However, a great number of students consider it as
being much more than a standard library. The Library and Information Centre (Bibliotečko
informacioni centar, BIC) of the
School of Economics in Sarajevo is a special higher education library open to
public which systematically collects, professionally processes, preserves,
saves and issues for use library materials and information required for
conducting and improving of the School’s teaching and scientific process and research.
ProCredit Bank recognised the importance of this institution and its funding
of refurbishment and renovation of the Library’s premises has contributed to
education and information of students of this respectable School. The investment amounting to cca BAM 10 000 also
covered purchase of several modern books which will provide the School students
with easier access to information and contemporary theories in the fields they
study. Cooperation between ProCredit Bank and the School of Economics in Sarajevo
is not accidental at all, bearing in mind that both institutions foster
responsible approach to knowledge and personal and professional development.
