On Friday, June 13, 2025, the “Women’s Business Networking” event was held at the VIP Hall of the Kakanj Municipality, organized by the SHE Association of Women Entrepreneurs from Tešanj in collaboration with ProCredit Bank.

The event was supported by the Municipality of Kakanj and the Kakanj Development Center, with the goal of connecting women in business across various sectors and regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This high-impact gathering brought together numerous entrepreneurs and female business leaders from Kakanj, joined by their peers from Sarajevo, Zenica, Tešanj, and Vitez. The primary objective was to foster new business collaborations and further strengthen women-led entrepreneurship through shared experiences, mentorship, and mutual support.

"The times we live in call for unity and active collaboration among women in the business world. Our Association strives to bring together businesswomen from across Bosnia and Herzegovina so we can build a strong and prosperous community together," said Šemsa Mujaković, President of the SHE Association. She also emphasized the vital support provided by ProCredit Bank:

"Support from partners like ProCredit Bank is of great importance to us. They understand the market, recognize the value of women’s entrepreneurship, and consistently provide concrete models of support and collaboration."

Aldin Ćatić, Director of the Kakanj Development Center, expressed his satisfaction with the event and underlined the center’s ongoing commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs.

"Since its establishment, the Kakanj Development Center has served as an incubator for new ideas and a key partner to entrepreneurs in advancing their businesses. Today’s event reaffirms our commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs, whose ideas and projects have the potential to make a significant impact on both the local and wider economic landscape," stated Ćatić.

ProCredit Bank has been operating in the Bosnian market for nearly 30 years, actively supporting the development of entrepreneurship — with a strong focus on empowering women in business.

Ines Amitović, Director of the Sustainable Development and Communications Department at ProCredit Bank, spoke about the importance of women’s entrepreneurship for the broader economic landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Women’s entrepreneurship is one of the key drivers of economic growth and sustainability. We firmly believe that unity and mutual support among women in business are foundational pillars for building a strong and competitive market. That is why ProCredit Bank actively fosters connections and collaboration within the business community — so we can jointly create a better business environment for our generation and those to come,” said Amitović, adding that the Bank’s role extends far beyond financial services.

“We’ve been present in the market for many years and have a deep understanding of the potential of our local entrepreneurs. That’s why we position ourselves as not just a financial provider, but also as an advisory and strategic partner. We view the success of entrepreneurs as a shared objective — because their progress directly contributes to community development and the strengthening of the overall economy.”

Particularly noteworthy is the support model the Bank offers to newly established businesses through the ProStart account, which includes one year of free account maintenance and transaction services — making the initial steps in the business world significantly more manageable.

The event in Kakanj reaffirmed the importance of such gatherings, which go beyond networking by providing practical support and experience-sharing among women entrepreneurs — creating a solid foundation for the continued growth of women-led businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
